Construction Records in collaboration with Poppodium Boerderij proudly present Inhalo, Hackberry and The One on February 2, 2024!
Get ready for an unforgettable evening full of Dutch prog metal and prog rock !
Known for their enchanting melodies and idiosyncratic compositions. The Dutch band Inhalo pushes the boundaries of prog metal . With their powerful vocals and virtuoso instrumental prowess, they are sure to leave you enchanted.
Their debut album 'Sever’, released in 2022, received the IO-Pages' 'Prog Award 2022', Aardschok Magazine's 'Eremetal' and Heaven Magazines 'Album Of The Week' to name just a few achievements. And following the recently released 10” 'Live At Wisseloord Studio', they gave a unique performance in the Mennonite Church during the first edition of Haarlem Vinyl Festival last month. “The guitars were acoustic, the drumming more subdued and here too the church with its full acoustics contributed a beautiful, serviceable reverberation. At such a moment, in such a setting, it became clear once again how strong that album was." (White Room Reviews).
Also from the Netherlands, Hackberry will bring their unique mix of instrumental progressive rock and metal to the stage. Last weekend they opened the prestigious Progpower Europe Festival in Baarlo and left the audience completely captivated to loud applause. The five-piece band from Groningen are known for their strange time signatures, tempo changes and dynamics. The album 'Breathing Space', released in 2022, received rave reviews with quotes such as “Already in my Top 10 of 2023!” (Mania), “A varied and atmospheric album full of heavy prog” (IO-Pages) and, among others, “Their strong melodic themes take Hackberry far above the norm” (Gitarist).
Opening the evening is The One, a band that is making waves in the prog rock scene. Their distinctive style and musical stories will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression. Check out their debut album 'Sunrise' and you will understand what we mean. For fans of, but not limited to, Yes, King Crimson & Genesis! “The One is a very interesting new rising star in the progressive rock firmament” (Rock Tribune).
Music as atmospheric prog in the spirit of the great bands of the 70s with good melodic and rhythmic sensitivity. The One is a band project by the Dutch musician/producer Timothy van der Holst, supported by talented musicians from home and abroad, also live!
All bands are signed by Construction Records, founded in 2022, the progressive sub-label of Suburban Records. Complex songs that are carefully constructed to create a burst of instrumental craftsmanship with clean vocals and rarely radio friendly due to their length, is what Construction Records is about, but not limited to. Diversity is the key word. Heavy, fragile, powerful, vulnerable, complicated or thoughtfully simple, it can all make our hearts beat faster.
The evening takes place in Poppodium De Boerderij in Zoetermeer, where music lovers from home and abroad have been coming together for decades to enjoy world-famous musicians in an intimate setting. In the CreativeColors Hall, with a capacity of 750 visitors, you come face to face with living legends from the world of prog , symphonic rock, classic rock, metal, blues, jazz, soul and funk. In recent years, musical greats such as Peter Frampton, Steven Wilson, Marillion, David Crosby, Kansas, Steve Hackett, Mr. Big, Queensrÿche took the stage.
Don't miss this opportunity to witness these three great bands under one roof and under one label! Tickets available at De Boerderij. Put February 2, 2024 in your calendar, it's an evening you don't want to miss!
