Kino is a British progressive rock band formed in 2004. The band features experienced musicians from the prog rock scene. Kino's second album, ‘Radio Voltaire’, was released in 2018, and it marks a mature and refined sound for the band. The album is a perfect blend of progressive rock with melodic, song-driven approach. It received positive reviews from fans and critics, praised for its strong compositions and the musicianship of its members. Construction Records is proud to re-release this album on double colored, 180 gram vinyl!

The band consists of the following members:
John Mitchell (guitarist and vocalist): Mitchell is a prominent figure in the British prog scene and is also a member of bands like Arena and It Bites.
Pete Trewavas (bassist): Trewavas is best known as a member of the legendary British band Marillion, and also plays in projects like Transatlantic.
Richard West (keyboardist): West is most famous as a member of Threshold.
John Beck (keyboardist): Beck is a co-founder of It Bites and has worked with various other artists.
Craig Blundell (drummer): Blundell is a virtuoso drummer who has also played in Steven Wilson's band and Frost*.

Although Kino is one of the many projects of its members, the band has proven itself to be a solid entity with its own sound. They still perform sporadically, and their work remains a valuable addition to the progressive rock scene. However, there’s no indication that they plan to release albums regularly, given the other busy schedules of the band members with their primary bands.

‘Radio Voltaire’ is an excellent album for both progressive rock fans and those who appreciate melodic, emotionally-rich music. It's a testament to the talents of the band members and their ability to create an album that is both intricate and accessible
